New Champions "Thank You" Party Friday September 10, 2010 6:00PM to 8:00PM Club Cafe (209 Columbus Ave, Boston)
Join the MALE Center, Fenway Health and LHI as we show our appreciation to the many New Champions that have been trained during the last 3 years. Our brief program will allow all of us to share some stories and talk about our many outreach activities, but most importantly, it will allow us to say “thank you” to each of you for helping with this model of harm and risk reduction. Please feel free to bring a friend, and wear your New Champions shirt! For more information or to RSVP, please contact Catrina Cooley at 617-450-1980 or ccooley@aac.org

Monthly Book Club Wednesday, September 15, 2010 6:30PM to 8:00PM
September's selected reading will be: The Object of My Affection by Stephen McCauley ISBN-13: 9780671743505
The Object of My Affection gets you to care about this screwed-up lot of characters as they attempt to force the square peg of life-as-it-is-wished into the round hole of life-as-it-is. It offers no pat resolutions but rather an overall sense of hope, made all the more believable by the fact that the author has not frantically tried to tie up every single loose end.

September's movie will be: In and Out
When a Hollywood heartthrob "outs" his small-town high-school drama teacher Howard Brackett during the Oscar telecast, the entire town of Greenleaf, Indiana, wonders if Howard's really gay. More to the point, Howard wonders, too--quite a dilemma considering his pending marriage to Emily, who's patiently tolerated a three-year engagement.
