      This bill enhances privacy protections for consumers in the emerging interoperable electronic medical records system in the Commonwealth.  AIDS Action Committee joins ACLU of Massachusetts and Health Care For All in working on this issue.

      This bill provides expanded legal protection for patients using and doctors recommending marijuana for medical purposes, create a more effective procurement and law enforcement system regarding medical use of marijuana, and substantially expands the list of valid medical conditions for which medical marijuana may be recommended by a doctor, including among others, HIV/AIDS.

      This bill would authorize mandatory HIV testing of anyone convicted of sexaul assault.  Under this bill an individual refusing to submit to such HIV test could be held in contempt of court or have his sentence or probation revoked or revised for his/her refusal.
