At AIDS Action, we welcome opportunities to participate in media coverage of our work and of HIV/AIDS more broadly. Thirty years into the epidemic, timely, accurate, and compassionate coverage of people at risk for and already living with HIV/AIDS is more important than ever. Without broad public awareness of HIV/AIDS, we could continue to see a decline in interest in this life-threatening disease, even as 50,000+ people are newly infected in the United States each year.
