AIDS Action is currently recruiting volunteers for the following positions:
Cambridge Needle Exchange Program Volunteer
The Cambridge Needle Exchange (NEP), a program within AIDS Action Committee's Prevention and Education Department, is committed to the practice of harm reduction and founded on the idea that drug users deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We provide a safe and confidential space for injection drug users to access sterile injection equipment, sharps disposal, risk reduction strategies, overdose prevention education and nasal Narcan, educational materials on HIV, HCV, & STDs, and rapid HIV testing. Our services are provided FREE of charge and participation is anonymous and confidential.

Front Desk Volunteer (Cambridge)
Front Desk Volunteers provide a friendly face and atmosphere to all visitors that come into our office. Volunteers are responsible for checking in visitors, staff, and clients as they enter our building to access services, events, and/or meetings. Volunteers are responsible for answering a multi-line telephone and transferring the calls to the appropriate extension. Volunteers are also responsible for getting informed through our outlook system of daily and weekly activities and on-goings within the agency and community and learning about the various functions and programs of the agency for accurate telephone call transfers.
